Kanüle Abwärts is the first sign of the band’s new album Brief & Siegel out October 2nd via This Charming Man records. And to be honest, I didn’t remember the band being so heavy! While the last record Aufbruch was deeply rooted in German punk (think Turbostaat, Düsenjäger) this first song shows a heavier production. The talking/singing mixture has made way to heavy screams. Their last record wasn’t a pretty affair neither, but this is taking it up a whole notch. If it’s anything to go by Brief & Siegel could be an unexpected punk highlight of the year!
Pre-orders for the album are up and running. Get hooked on vinyl here or the CD here.
